Women Leaders Training on Spices Farming Initiatives for Poverty Reduction, Zanzibar

The Zanzibar project, Women Leaders Training on Spices Farming Initiatives for Poverty Reduction, will train 40 Christian women leaders in organic spice farming, with a budget of $10,000.

In a predominantly Muslim spice economy where Christian women are often marginalized, this initiative will teach pesticide-free farming methods, promote environmentally friendly practices, and encourage greater engagement in land ownership and local decision-making.

Expected outcomes include increased income for Christian women, stronger cooperation between Muslim and Christian producers, and advocacy for better legal protection for small-scale farmers.

By contributing toward the $10,000 goal, you help Christian women gain the skills, voice, and economic stability they need to support their families, bless their neighbors, and participate more fully in shaping their communities for God’s glory.
