The Gender Equity, Reconciliation, and Partnership Integration Program in Kenya’s Kenyawa-Poka Ward aims to empower 100 leaders—both men and women—over six months through two focused training sessions.
With a projected cost of $15,000, this program addresses gender disparities rooted in Maasai patriarchal traditions that limit women’s decision-making and property rights and contribute to harmful practices such as FGM and early child marriage.
Participants will gain a biblical understanding of gender, advocacy skills, and tools to foster healthy dialogue and shared leadership.
The ultimate goal is to reduce harmful cultural practices and promote peace, partnership, and holistic transformation within the community.
