The Community Transformation Department of the United Republic of Tanzania is launching a project to combat human trafficking for sexual exploitation in Zanzibar, with a budget of $15,000.
Focusing on women and children in a tourism-influenced environment where an estimated 171,000 trafficking victims were recorded from 2021–2022, the initiative aims to strengthen legal frameworks, improve cooperation among law enforcement and NGOs, and raise public awareness.
Expected outcomes include increased community vigilance, better-trained officers, and higher arrest and conviction rates for traffickers.
By giving toward the $15,000 goal, you help protect some of the most vulnerable, uphold their God-given dignity, and support a united front against exploitation in Jesus’ name.
