The project titled “Trauma Healing and Reconciliation” targets 50 religious and community leaders in Khartoum and Darfur.
With a total budget of $21,570, it seeks to address the deep psychological distress caused by Sudan’s prolonged civil conflict, particularly among vulnerable groups like widows and single mothers.
The initiative will train leaders in and around internally displaced persons (IDP) camps, focusing on understanding trauma and developing skills for Christ-centered psychosocial support.
The project will empower these leaders to help their communities heal and reconcile, while also equipping them to manage their own compassion fatigue.
Expected outcomes include enhanced coping strategies for leaders, increased capacity for trauma-informed ministry, and the promotion of forgiveness, reconciliation, and peace within their communities.
By giving toward the $21,570 needed, you help the Church be the hands and feet of Jesus to the brokenhearted, bringing comfort, healing, and hope where there has been deep pain.
