Mwahera Poverty Reduction Program in Ganze Sub-County, Kenya

The Mwahera Poverty Reduction Program in Ganze Sub-County, Kenya, seeks to support 60 vulnerable women—especially widows and women with disabilities—over 1 year and 5 months through goat farming and life skills training.

Building on a previous initiative, this program will provide training in animal husbandry, leadership, and life skills, along with 90 dual-purpose Galla goats, with a total project budget of $35,730.

The goal is to increase household income by 30%, improve nutrition, and encourage family unity by involving spouses in the project.

A pass-forward model will ensure that offspring from the goats are shared with other disadvantaged households, multiplying the impact.

Your gift toward the $35,730 needed will help restore dignity, build long-term income, and reflect Christ’s compassion among some of the most vulnerable women and families.
