Establishment and strengthening of the Regional Interfaith Committee in Mtwara and  Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Another Tanzania project aims to establish and strengthen an interfaith committee in Mtwara and Dar es Salaam, with a budget of $16,000.

Bringing together religious leaders from Christianity, Islam, and African Traditional Religions, the project responds to rising tensions and periodic violence between Christians and Muslims since the 1990s.

Through dialogue, shared learning, and relationship-building, ALARM seeks to promote peace, mutual respect, and a culture of acceptance.

Expected outcomes include clearer recognition of shared community challenges, increased understanding across faiths, and a more harmonious environment that respects theological differences while rejecting violence.

By contributing to the $16,000 goal, you help build bridges amid suspicion, reflecting Christ’s heart for peace and neighbor-love in a multi-faith society.
