The Pastoral Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) is part of the ALARM Servant Leadership Development department. It has been implemented by ALARM Uganda for more than 14 years. The program has positively impacted more than 1,000 lay pastors in central and western Uganda, enhancing their understanding of basic theological topics such as spirituality, biblical interpretation, socio-economic development, preaching/ communication skills, Christian counseling, financial management, church leadership, and ecological stewardship.
The pedagogy and the training program are a flexible annual program with a 5-day residential training organized in 3 quarters annually. The pastors trained are now outstanding spiritual leaders contributing to the growth of the Christian church through church planting, social-economic development in central and western Uganda. ALARM Uganda now desires to replicate it in other districts in northern Uganda because of the large numbers of untrained pastors and the growing number of Christian congregations that require a sustained and correct instruction to ensure proper spiritual and social health.
Targeting 50 pastors in Agago district with a budget of $4,200, the three-year program aims to enhance their ability to provide proper biblical instruction, thereby fostering spiritual and socio-economic growth in their congregations.
The program has demonstrated success in church planting and community development, and ALARM Uganda aims to replicate it in northern districts to address the needs of untrained pastors and growing Christian communities.
Would you prayerfully consider giving toward the $4,200 needed so that these 50 pastors can be equipped to faithfully teach God’s Word and lead their communities toward healing and transformation in Christ?
