Women Leadership Training Program, Sudan

Women Leadership Training Program, Sudan

Women hold an essential position in the promotion of peace and security, particularly through their leadership roles in conflict prevention and resolution. Their participation in both formal and informal peace processes is vital for fostering dialogue and achieving sustainable peace.

Furthermore, the involvement of women is crucial in addressing gender inequalities and ensuring that future peace agreements incorporate gender-sensitive provisions while advocating for women’s inclusion in decision-making processes at all levels of Sudanese society. This initiative aims to empower women leaders in Sudan, equipping them to become transformative leaders who advocate for peace and security. Additionally, the project seeks to confront the systemic marginalization of women in decision-making roles across various societal structures.

The project in Sudan aims to train 60 women leaders from churches and communities over three days. It focuses on empowering women to take on leadership roles crucial for peace and security, addressing gender inequality, and ensuring women’s voices are included in decision-making processes.

The objectives include enhancing leadership skills, promoting awareness of women’s rights, and inspiring participants to become change agents.

The desired outcomes are increased confidence, improved communication skills, active participation in peace initiatives, and the development of practical servant leadership skills to better serve their communities.

Would you prayerfully consider giving toward the $8,500 needed so that these women can be equipped to lead with courage, wisdom, and the love of Christ in their homes, churches, and communities?
