From 18–20 August 2026, ALARM Kenya brought together 77 Christian leaders from 15 churches in Imaroro Ward, Mashuru Sub-County, Kajiado County, for a three-day leadership training focused on Christian Leadership, Stewardship, and the Church in the Community. The training equipped pastors and church leaders with practical biblical principles to strengthen their service within their churches and surrounding communities.

Leadership that serves
Hosted at PEFA Church in Kima, the training emphasized that true Christian leadership is rooted in service, humility, integrity, and accountability rather than position or authority. Through interactive discussions, group reflections, and biblical teaching, participants explored how their character and daily decisions shape their influence as leaders.
The sessions also challenged leaders to become faithful stewards—not only of finances, but of the people, gifts, time, relationships, and opportunities God has entrusted to them.

Strengthening churches and communities
A key focus of the training was helping churches become active agents of reconciliation, healing, and community transformation. Participants developed practical approaches to conflict resolution, reflected on leadership challenges within their congregations, and identified ways to engage their communities with greater compassion and purpose.
One participant shared that the training came at a critical moment during a difficult leadership transition in their church, saying the lessons had equipped them to address conflict more effectively and lead with renewed confidence. Another local church leader expressed gratitude for ALARM Kenya’s investment in building the capacity of leaders across the region and its potential to bring lasting change to the wider community.

A multiplying impact
As part of ALARM Kenya’s Training of Trainers approach, participants received biblical resources—including Exploring the Basics of Biblical Christianity and NIV Study Bibles—to support continued learning and discipleship beyond the classroom. The goal is for these leaders to mentor others, strengthening churches, families, and communities throughout Kajiado and beyond.
ALARM Kenya remains committed to equipping servant leaders who reflect Christ’s love and contribute to peaceful, resilient, and transformed communities across Africa.
