In August 2025, ALARM Kenya, in partnership with Rise Up Woman International, celebrated the graduation of 70 women leaders from the Kenyawa Women Leadership Training Program; a three-year journey that has transformed lives, churches, and communities.
This graduation marked not just the completion of a program but the commissioning of a new generation of women leaders ready to step into their God-given roles.
The program concluded in August 2025 with a three-day training on conflict resolution and peacebuilding, followed by a vibrant graduation ceremony that drew over 500 community members.
Each graduate was:
- Awarded a certificate of completion
- Gifted a Bible in Maasai language
- Commissioned to mentor and lead within her church and community

The event was a moment of pride for the entire region, with families, pastors, and community leaders coming together to honor the women’s commitment.
Community Reactions
Pastor Elisha, Kenyawa Pastors Fellowship: “This graduation was beyond anything we have seen in our region. It united us as pastors and gave our women leaders the confidence to lead.”
Carol Ezekiel, Graduate: “The celebration was beyond our imagination. We are ready to train and empower others so that transformation continues.”
Lasting Impact
- 70 graduates serving as role models and trainers for other women
- Strengthened church leadership in 31 congregations
- Ongoing peer groups meeting weekly to share, learn, and grow
- Cultural shift toward acceptance of women in leadership roles
What’s Next?
ALARM Kenya will continue to follow up with the graduates and the Kenyawa Pastors Fellowship to reinforce mentorship and leadership development. The success of this program has set the stage for replicating the model in other parts of Kajiado County and beyond.

Gratitude
We are deeply grateful to Rise Up Woman International for their steadfast partnership. Together, we are raising a generation of women leaders who will shape the future of their communities.
