ALARM Kenya recently hosted a one-day mentorship training for pastors and church leaders in Kenyawa, Kajiado East. This unique event was designed to strengthen men in ministry through mentorship, equipping them to lead effectively within their churches and communities.
This training ran alongside the graduation of the Women Leadership Training Program, creating a powerful moment where women were being commissioned for ministry while men were being introduced to mentorship. This reflects ALARM’s holistic approach, empowering both men and women to serve as agents of transformation.

The training was attended by Pastors from 31 different churches, representing unity across denominations in Kenyawa. Participants engaged actively in group discussions and shared experiences from their ministries.
Many left inspired and requested:
- More copies of the ALARM Mentorship Manual for church use
- Extended or follow-up mentorship programs
- Additional training on conflict resolution and peacebuilding
Looking Ahead
ALARM Kenya is committed to continuing this work by:
- Organizing Part 2 of the mentorship training (funding permitting)
- Facilitating conflict resolution and peacebuilding workshops

Conclusion
The Kenyawa mentorship training was a milestone moment, building capacity for pastoral care, fostering collaboration among churches, and preparing a generation of leaders for effective ministry.
We are grateful to God and to our partners who make these initiatives possible. Together, we are raising leaders who will transform their communities for Christ.
